Engine Oil Level Sensor/Switch Diagnosis
Circuit DescriptionThe Oil Level sensor is a normally open switch. When the engine oil level drops below a predetermined amount the switch will close. The
PCM will then send a message (via class 2) to the
BCM indicating that a low oil condition is present. The Driver Information Center then displays Low Oil Level.
