Refrigerant Oil

During A/C refrigerant system component replacement and conditions stated, new refrigerant system oil quantities should be added to the system as indicated.

A/C Compressor:
If less than 30 ml (1 oz) oil drained from removed compressor: 60 ml (2 oz)
If more than 30 ml (1 oz) oil drained from removed compressor: Add same amount as drained


Accumulator: Add 30 ml (1 oz) more than amount drained from old accumulator

Condenser: 30 ml (1 oz)

Evaporator: 90 ml (3 oz)

Abrupt oil loss due to large refrigerant leak:
Add 90 ml (3 oz) plus required amount for the component being replaced (cause of large leak)
