Liftgate Window Glass Weatherstrip: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Weatherstrip Replace: Rear Lift Window Opening (Coupe): Removal Procedure:




1. Open the rear lift window and suitably support.

2. Disconnect the upper electrical connectors from the struts.
3. Remove the struts from the lift window ball studs.

4. Pull the weather-strip from the body flange.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Weatherstrip Replace: Rear Lift Window Opening (Coupe): Installation Procedure:




1. Position the weather-strip to the body opening.
2. Starting at the molded corners press the weather-strip firmly onto the body flange.

3. Install the struts to the window ball studs.
4. Connect the defogger electrical connectors to the struts.
5. Remove the support and close the lift window.
