Battery Hold Down Retainer Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
2. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable.
3. Remove the front end sheet metal diagonal brace.
4. Remove the washer solvent container assembly.
5. Remove the air cleaner assembly bracket from the fender bolt.
6. Remove the battery hold-down retainer bolt.
7. Remove the battery hold-down retainer.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the battery hold-down retainer.
2. Install the battery hold-down retainer bolt.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Tighten
Tighten the battery hold-down retainer bolt to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

3. Install the air cleaner bracket to fender bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the air cleaner bracket to fender bolt to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

4. Install the washer solvent container assembly.
5. Install the front end sheet metal diagonal brace.
6. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable.
7. Install the air cleaner assembly.
