Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair





REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Remove two screws and disconnect the electrical connectors and then remove the junction block from the instrument panel (2).
3. Disconnect lamp driver electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) electrical connectors.
5. Remove the three bolts and remove both the EBCM (4) and the lamp driver relay (3) from the vehicle.






INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the EBCM (4) and the lamp driver relay (3) to the vehicle; secure with three bolts.
^ Tighten the attaching bolts to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).

2. Connect the EBCM electrical connectors.
3. Connect the lamp driver relay electrical connector.
4. Install the junction block to the instrument panel (2) and reconnect all electrical connectors.
5. Secure junction block with two screws.
6. Connect the Negative (-) battery cable.
7. Perform the "Diagnostic System Check".
