Battery Replacement




REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the battery hold-down retainer.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

2. Remove the battery (negative) terminal bolt with the battery ground (negative) cable from the battery.
3. Remove the battery (positive) terminal bolt with the battery (positive) cable from the battery.
4. Remove the battery.
5. Remove the battery insulator from the battery.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the battery insulator to the battery.
2. Install the battery.

NOTE:Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the battery (positive) cable with the battery (positive) terminal bolt to the battery.

Tighten
Tighten the battery (positive) terminal bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

4. Install the battery ground (negative) cable with the battery (negative) terminal bolt to the battery.
5. Install the battery hold-down retainer.
