Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

Upper/Lower Evaporator Case Halves:






Remove or Disconnect

1. Evaporator case from vehicle.
2. A/C amplifier from evaporator case by releasing two lower lock tabs and sliding amplifier upward to disengage from case.
3. Separate upper and lower case halves by disengaging retaining five clips and one screw.
4. Evaporator pipe retaining clamp from lower case.
5. Evaporator core from evaporator case.
6. Evaporator temperature sensor from evaporator core.

Install or Connect

1. Evaporator temperature sensor to evaporator core.
2. Evaporator core to evaporator case.
3. Evaporator pipe retaining clamp to lower case.
4. Evaporator case upper and lower halves; secure with five retaining clips and one screw.
5. A/C amplifier to evaporator case.
6. Evaporator case to vehicle.
