Blower Motor: Service and Repair

Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative (.) battery cable.
2. I/P compartment:.
3. Blower motor and blower motor resistor electrical connectors.





4. Two screws, two electrical connectors and relay bracket from blower case.
5. Fresh/recirc control cable from blower case.
6. Wiring harness from guide brackets on blower case.
7. Two upper bolts, one lower nut and blower case from vehicle.
8. Air hose between blower motor and blower case.





9. Three screws and blower motor from blower case.





10. Blower fan from motor (if required).

Install or Connect

1. Blower fan to motor (if removed).
2. Blower motor to blower case; secure with three screws.
3. Air hose to blower case and blower motor.
4. Blower case to vehicle; secure with two upper bolts and one lower nut.

Tighten
^ Blower case retaining bolts and nut to 10 N.m (89 lb. in.).

5. Wiring harness to guide brackets on blower case.
6. Relay electrical connectors.
7. Relay bracket to blower case; secure with two screws.
8. Blower motor and resistor electrical connectors.
9. I/P compartment.
10. Negative (-) battery cable.
