1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
2. Remove the transmission oil level/filler plug (2) from the transmission.





3. Inspect the transmission oil level.

IMPORTANT: The oil level should be even with the bottom of the transmission oil level/filler plug (2) hole.

4. If the oil level is low, adjust the oil level accordingly with synthetic 75W-90 4GL lubricant, or equivalent.
5. Apply GM P/N 12346004, or equivalent, to the threaded portion of the transmission oil level/filler plug (2).





6. Install the transmission oil level/filler plug (2) into the transmission.
^ Tighten the transmission oil level/filler plug (2) to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

7. Lower the vehicle.
