Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the Negative (-) Battery Cable.

CAUTION: Before removing or installing any electrical unit or when a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with "live" exposed electrical terminals, disconnect the negative battery cable to help prevent personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or components. Unless instructed otherwise, the ignition switch must be in the "OFF" or "LOCK" position.





2. Remove the Knee bolster.





3. Disconnect the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) (1) electrical connectors.
4. Remove the three retaining nuts and remove the EBCM from the mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the EBCM (1) to the bracket. Secure the EBCM (1) with the three retaining nuts.
2. Install the three retaining nuts.
^ Tighten the retaining nuts to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs).
3. Connect the EBCM electrical connectors.





4. Install the Knee bolster.
5. Connect the Negative (-) Battery Cable.

6. Perform the Diagnostic System Check
