System Description
The
Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (
RCDLR) is located beneath the instrument panel upper trim. The battery provides all power for the RCDLR through the instrument panel wiring harness. The RCDLR determines which command is sent by the transmitter and then sends the appropriate signal to the Body Control Module (
BCM) for the command to be carried out. The power sliding door function is carried out directly by the RCDLR, independent of the BCM.
