Removal Procedure

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.
2. Remove the front seat carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainers in Seats and Carpet.
3. Remove the upper seat belt shoulder strap nut. Refer to Seat Belts.
4. Remove the center pillar upper trim. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim in Rear Quarters.
5. Remove the center pillar lower trim. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim in Rear Quarters.

6. Loosen the two inflatable restraint side impact sensor fasteners (2).

7. Remove the inflatable restraint side impact sensor (3) from the B-pillar.

Description:

8. Lift the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (3) and remove the inflatable restraint side impact sensor yellow 2-way connector (2) from the inflatable restraint side impact sensor (1).
