Knock Sensor Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the knock sensor electrical connector.

CAUTION: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in Cautions and Notices.

Hoist the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

2. Loosen the knock sensor bolt.

3. Remove the knock sensor from the engine block.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Clean the threads thoroughly. Install the knock sensor into the engine block.

2. Tighten the knock sensor bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the knock sensor bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Connect the knock sensor wiring electrical connector.
