Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR/SWITCH REPLACEMENT






REMOVAL PROCEDURE

TOOLS REQUIRED
J 35749 Oil Pressure Switch Socket

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the electrical connector.
3. Remove the engine oil pressure sensor (1) using J 35749.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Coat the threads with sealer.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the engine oil pressure indicator sensor (1) using J 35749.

Tighten
Tighten the engine oil pressure indicator sensor to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

3. Install the electrical connector.
