Infl Rst Steering Wheel Module Replacement









Removal Procedure
1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Use a hex-head driver (or equivalent) in order to remove the two screws from the back of the steering wheel.
3. Disconnect the following components from the rear of the inflator module:
^ The Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (3)
^ The electrical connections (1,2,4)
^ Disconnect the horn lead wire by pushing in and rotating 1/4 turn counter clockwise.
4. Remove the inflator module (1).

Installation Procedure
1. Connect the following components to the rear of the inflator module:
^ The Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (3)
^ The electrical connections (1,2,4)
^ The horn lead wire by pushing in and rotating 1/4 turn clockwise.
2. Install the inflator module (1) to the steering wheel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the four screws through the back of the steering wheel.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

4. Enable the SIR system.
