Engine Shut Down Solenoid





REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the electrical connector from the ESO solenoid.

IMPORTANT: Remove any debris from the ESO mounting surfaces on the injection pump before servicing the ESO Solenoid. This will prevent contaminate intrusion into the injection pump.

2. Remove the ESO solenoid.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the new O-ring on the ESO solenoid.

NOTE: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the ESO solenoid in the injection pump.

Tighten
Tighten the solenoid (external hex or internal hex) to 25 N.m (19 lb ft).

3. Install the ESO electrical connector.
4. Start engine and check for leaks.
