Security Lamp

IMPORTANT: The output table does not list all of the IPC LEDs. The PC LEDs not listed are controlled by a different device. Refer to the applicable device when diagnosing IPC LEDs not shown in the table above.

Range: ON/OFF

This output refers to the commanded state of the SECURITY lamp illumination by the IPC module.

ON is displayed when the IPC module commands the SECURITY lamp to be illuminated.

The IPC will command the SECURITY lamp to be illuminated under the following conditions:
- A Class 2 message from the body control module is received.
- During the bulb check period, for 3 seconds after the ignition switch is first turned to the RUN position.
- A Class 2 communication failure occurs.

OFF is displayed when the IPC does not command the SECURITY lamp to be illuminated.
