Inflatable Restraint Front Side Impact Sensor Replacement












Removal Procedure
1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the front seat carpet retainer.
3. Remove the seat belt retractor trim cover.
4. Loosen the two Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor fasteners (2).
5. Remove the Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor (3) from the B-pillar.
6. Lift the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (3) and remove the Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor yellow 2-way connector (2) from the Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor (1).

Installation Procedure
1. Connect the Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor yellow 2-way connector (2) to the Inflatable Restraint side impact sensor (1) and install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (3).
2. Install the Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor (3) to the B-pillar.
3. Install the fasteners to the Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor.

Tighten
Use only hand tools to tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the seat belt retractor trim cover.
5. Install the front seat carpet retainer.
6. Enable the SIR system.
