Transmission Preference

The scan tool displays the position of the Tow/Haul (transmission preference) switch. The scan tool displays ON when the switch is activated. The BCM uses this data to illuminate the Tow/Haul indicator on the cluster. When activated the BCM also sends a Class 2 message to the PCM/VCM which handles the shift control.
