Grille Replacement (Chevrolet)

Removal Procedure

1. For diesel only, remove the winter cover, if equipped and installed.




2. Open the hood.
3. Remove the upper grille baffle.




4. Using a Phillips screwdriver, rotate the grille retainer 1/4 turn counterclockwise.




5. Remove the screw holding the grille to the latch support.




6. Unsnap the grille ends from the fender. Remove the grille from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Snap the grille ends into the fender.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





2. Install the screw holding the grille to the latch support.

Tighten the grille screw to 9 N.m (75 lb in).





3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, rotate the grille retainer 1/4 turn clockwise.




4. Install the upper grille baffle.
5. Close the hood.
6. Inspect for proper alignment.
7. For diesel only, install the winter cover, if removed.
