Rear Folding Seat Back Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure

The rear seat folds down in order to provide additional storage space in the rear of the vehicle. The seatback locks are located on the outboard sides of the seat. The strikers are located on the wheelhouse panel.

1. Remove the rear seat cushion.




2. Remove the rear seatback cushion (1).
3. Remove the bolt (3).
4. Remove the lock (2) and the washer (4).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the washer (4) and the lock (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolt (3).

Tighten the bolt (3) to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

3. Install the rear seatback cushion (1).
4. Install the rear seat cushion.
