Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the latch cable assembly (8).
2. Unclip the cable door at the top of the lock release box (2).
3. Remove the remote release cable (1) from the lock release box.
4. Remove the latch cable assembly bolts (7).
5. Remove the latch assembly (3).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the latch assembly (3).
2. Install the latch assembly bolts (7).




3. (Pontiac Only) Install the lock cylinder rivets (2).




4. Install the latch cable assembly (8).
