Seat Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Position the driver or the passenger front seat assembly forward or rearward in order to gain access to the seat adjuster attaching nuts (3).
2. Remove the seat adjuster nuts (3) and stud covers (2).
3. Disconnect the seat belt wire harness on the driver's side only.
4. Remove the driver or passenger front seat.
5. Remove the seat recliner cover bolts (6).
6. Remove the seat recliner cover (7).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the seat recliner cover (7).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Important: Do not strip the bolt by overtightening.

2. Install the seat recliner cover screws (6).

Tighten the screws to the screw's fully driven and seated position.

3. Install the driver or the passenger front seat.
4. Connect the seat belt wire harness on the driver's side only.
5. Position the driver or the passenger front seat assembly full forward in order to gain access to the seat adjuster rear attaching nuts (3).

Important: Do not dump seat back forward on coupe E-Z entry during this step.

6. Tighten the seat adjuster nuts (3).
Hand tighten the nuts.
7. Push the seat to the full rearward position.
8. Verify that both lock bars are engaged in the most forward adjustment same notch on both of the seat adjusters.

Tighten the rear nuts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

9. Install the stud cover (2).
