SIR Steering Wheel Module Coil - Disassemble

DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE

- Tools Required
- J41352 Modular Column Holding Fixture

1. Check the steering column for accident damage. Refer to Steering Column Accident Damage Inspection - Off Vehicle.





2. Install the steering column and J41352 into a vise.
3. Remove any necessary wire harness straps.





4. Remove the retaining ring.





5. Remove the SIR coil down lead from the wire restraint clip (3)
6. Remove the SIR coil assembly (1).
7. Remove the wave washer (2).
