Headlight Leveling

This feature provides a method of leveling the headlamp beams when the normal headlamp aiming is altered by loading the vehicle. The headlamp leveling switch provides 4 headlamp leveling positions. The switch controls headlamp leveling actuators which are mounted under each headlamp assembly.

The headlamp leveling switch is a variable resistor which changes voltage in CKT 189 (DK GRN). A processor inside each actuator interprets the voltage signal, and the processor commands the actuator motors to adjust the headlamps to the position selected by the vehicle operator. The motors are operated through CKT 39 (PNK) from the GAUGES fuse.
