Vehicle Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Disconnect the speed sensor connectors (2).
2. Remove the vehicle speed sensor bolts.
3. Remove the vehicle speed sensors (1) and the bracket assemblies from the case.
4. Inspect the vehicle speed sensor assemblies (1) for any evidence of damage.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the vehicle speed sensors (1) and the bracket assemblies on the case.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolts using an 8 mm socket.
^ Tighten the bolts to 11 Nm (96 inch lbs.).
3. Connect the speed sensor connectors (2).
