Front Lower

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle.





2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
3. Remove the coil spring. Refer to Front Coil Springs Replacement.
4. Remove the lower ball joint from the Steering Knuckle. Refer to Lower Ball Joint Replacement.
5. Remove the lower control arm.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the lower ball joint to the steering knuckle. Refer to Steering Knuckle Replacement.

Notice:
- Avoid pounding the bolts or any excessive force when installing the control arm to the frame.
- Always inspect the frame attachment hole for elongation greater than 1 mm clearance around the bolt in any direction at any location. If 1 mm gap or other evidence of damage is detected, repair the frame as required. Refer to Structural Body Repair and Dimensions.

2. Install the coil spring. Refer to Front Coil Springs Replacement.

3. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
4. Lower the vehicle.
Tighten the lower control arm to the frame nuts to 155 Nm (115 ft. lbs.).
5. Check the wheel alignment. Refer to Wheel Alignment Specifications.
