Heater Water Valve Replacement
HEATER WATER VALVE REPLACEMENTTOOLS REQUIRED
J 39529 Heater Hose Pliers
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
2. Remove the hose clamps from the outlet pipe and the inlet pipe using the J 39529.
3. Disconnect the heater inlet pipe and the outlet pipe from the by-pass valve(s).
4. Remove the by-pass valve (3) from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the bypass valve (3) into the vehicle.
2. Connect the heater inlet pipe and the outlet pipe to the bypass valve(s).
3. Install the hose clamps using the J 39529.
4. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
5. Verify that the system has no leaks.
