Door Switch: Service and Repair




REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Locate the door jamb switch.
The door jamb switch is located on the center pillar.
3. Squeeze together the tangs of the door jamb switch.
4. Pull the door jamb switch (1) out of the center pillar.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) of the door jamb switch.
6. Remove the door jamb switch.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the electrical connector (2) of the door jamb switch.
2. Squeeze together the tangs of the door jamb switch.
3. Push the switch (1) through the center pillar.
4. Connect the battery negative cable.
