Radiator Hose: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Partially drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
2. Remove the coolant hose from the radiator.
3. Remove the coolant hose from the thermostat housing or the coolant pump.
4. Remove the coolant hose from the vehicle.





5. On the 6.5L diesel remove the surge tank outlet hose from the lower coolant hose.


Installation Procedure





1. On the 6.5L diesel, install the surge tank outlet hose to the lower coolant hose.





2. Install the coolant hose to the coolant pump or the thermostat housing.
3. Install the coolant hose to the radiator.
4. Refill the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
