A/T Shift Lock Control - Disassemble

1. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Trim Covers, Shift Lever Seal - Disassemble - Off Vehicle.

Important: Using excessive force in removing the automatic transmission shift lock control from the steering column may cause damage.

2. Remove the automatic transmission shift lock control from the steering column.
3. Put the shift lever in the NEUTRAL position.
4. Use a small screwdriver to pry the automatic transmission shift lock control from the steering column jacket assembly.
