Exhaust System Alignment

This vehicle uses primarily rubber exhaust pipe hanger insulators to mount the exhaust system to the underbody at fixed points. Refer to Exhaust System Clearances if exhaust system noises and/or vibrations are present. Check the exhaust system clearance anytime all or part of the exhaust system is removed and/or replaced. If the specifications measured on the vehicle are not consistent with the Exhaust System Clearances, inspect for missing or faulty exhaust pipe hanger insulators or a damaged catalytic converter support bracket near the transmission. Check for underbody damage under the following conditions:
- All the exhaust system supporting devices are in good condition.
- The exhaust system has no damage.
