Floor Pan Insulators Description
Caution: Refer to Floor Pan Insulator Caution in Cautions and Notices.

The floor pan insulators have been designed for the higher floor pan temperatures that result from the use of the catalytic converter in the exhaust system. When servicing a vehicle in the field any insulators that disturbed or removed is reinstalled in the original sequence and the location.

When servicing or replacing interior insulators observe the following instructions:

* Insulators must be installed in the original position and sequence.
* If it is necessary to replace an insulator, use the specified service part.
* When installing an insulator do not enlarge cutouts or holes that are used for the attachment of interior components such as seats or safety belts.
* Route over the floor pan insulators in the original location and clip the cross body harness in place for the following interior components:

- Power seats
- Lamp belt warning light
- Alarm/buzzer
- Rear speakers

* Do not apply the spray-on deadeners and the trim adhesives to the top of the floor pan at the area directly over the catalytic converter or the muffler(s).
