Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement (Front)






1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the Front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
3. Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove the retaining bolt.
5. Remove the front wheel speed sensor (1) from the steering knuckle (2).

Installation Procedure

Important: Make sure that the front wheel speed sensor (1) is properly aligned and lays flat against the bosses on the knuckle (2).





1. Install the front wheel speed sensor (1) to the steering knuckle (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the retaining bolt.
- Tighten the retaining bolt to 10 Nm (86 inch lbs.).
3. Connect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
4. Install the Front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Perform A Diagnostic System Check - ABS. Diagnostic System Check
