Wiper Motor Replacement




REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector.
2. Remove the 3 wiper motor mounting bolts.
3. Pull the motor (9) away from the bulkhead.

IMPORTANT: The wiper motor crank arm is not serviced separately. Do not disconnect the wiper motor crank arm from the wiper motor. The crank arm is positioned on the wiper motor in order to allow the wiper arms to return to the normal park position.

4. Gently pry the wiper linkage (3) from the wiper motor crank arm.
5. Remove the wiper motor (9) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the wiper linkage (3) to the wiper motor crank arm.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precations.

2. Install the wiper motor (9) to the bulkhead. Secure the wiper motor with the 3 mounting bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the wiper motor mounting bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

3. Connect the wiper motor electrical connector.
