Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.





2. Remove the electrical connector from the vehicle speed sensor.





3. Remove the following parts:
3.1. The bolt
3.2. The vehicle speed sensor
3.3. The O-ring seal

Installation Procedure
1. Coat a new O-ring seal with a thin film of transmission oil. Use Synchro-mesh Transmission Fluid GM P/N 12345349 or the equivalent.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





2. Install the following parts:
2.1. The O-ring on the vehicle speed sensor assembly
2.2. The vehicle speed sensor assembly
2.3. The bolt
Tighten the bolt to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the electrical connector to the vehicle speed sensor.
4. Lower the vehicle.
