b. Synchronizer Disassembly
Important: Do not mix the synchronizer parts.
1.
Remove the synchronizer rings from the synchronizer assembly.
2.
In order to prevent the loss of the synchronizer detent balls wrap the synchronizer sleeve and hub in a shop rag. Carefully slide the synchronizer hub from the sleeve.
3.
Remove the synchronizer detent balls, springs, and keys from the hub.
