Rear Seat Recliner Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear seat back cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement (2 Door) (Rear Seat Back Replacement (2 Door)) or Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (4 Door) (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (4 Door)) .
2. Remove the following components from the rear seat recliner (1):

1. The screw (3)
2. The rear seat recliner outside lower finish cover (2)





3. Open the rear seat hinge torque rod clamp (4). Remove the rear seat back hinge rod (3) from the seat recliner (1).
4. Remove the following components from the seat back cushion:

1. The 2 bolts (2)
2. The rear seat recliner (1)




Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the rear seat recliner (1) to the seat back cushion. Secure the recliner with the 2 bolts (2).

Tighten the rear seat recliner bolts to 35 N.m (25 lb ft).

2. Install the rear seat back hinge rod (3) to the seat recliner (1). Close the rear seat hinge torque rod clamp (4).




3. Install the rear seat recliner outside lower finish cover (2) to the rear seat recliner (1). Secure the cover with the screw (3).
4. Install the rear seat back cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement (2 Door) (Rear Seat Back Replacement (2 Door)) or Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (4 Door) (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (4 Door)) .
