Radiator Hose Replacement-Inlet

Removal Procedure

Caution: In order to help avoid being burned, do not remove the radiator cap while the engine and the radiator are hot. Scalding fluid and steam can be blown out under pressure if the cap is removed too soon.

1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.





2. Loosen and reposition the hose clamp on the radiator inlet hose (2) at the radiator.





3. Loosen and reposition the hose clamp on the radiator inlet hose at the thermostat housing (1).
Remove the radiator hose (2).

Installation Procedure
1. Position a new hose clamp on each end of the new radiator inlet hose (2) before installation.





2. Install the new radiator hose to the thermostat housing (1) and to the radiator.
3. Secure with two hose clamps.
4. Fill the radiator with an approved coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
