Power Steering Pressure Switch: Service and Repair




REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from power steering pressure (PSP) switch.
2. Remove the PSP switch (2) from the power steering pump (3).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Component Tightening Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the PSP switch (2) into the power steering pump (3).

Tighten
Tighten the PSP switch to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

2. Connect the PSP switch electrical connector (1).
3. Bleed the air from the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding Power Steering System in Power Steering System.
