Four Wheel Drive Selector Switch: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the parking brake lever bezel attaching screws (2).
2. Remove the parking brake lever bezel (1).





3. Remove the center console attaching screws (2).
4. Remove the center console (1).





5. Disconnect the 4WD switch electrical connector (2).
6. Remove the 4WD switch (3) from the transfer case (1).


Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the 4WD switch (1) to the transfer case (2).
^ Tighten the 4WD switch to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).





2. Connect the 4WD switch electrical connector (2).





3. Install the center console (1).
4. Install the center console attaching screws (2).





5. Install the parking brake lever bezel (1).
6. Install the parking brake lever bezel attaching screws (2).
7. Perform A Diagnostic System Check - ABS.
