Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover


Removal Procedure





1. Remove the bolts from the fender splash shield.




2. Use J 38778 in order to remove the push-in retainer from the lower fender splash shield at the rocker panel.
3. Remove the fender splash shield from the fender.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the locating pins on the fender splash shield into the holes in the fender.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts to the fender splash shield.

Tighten the bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Install the push-in retainer to the lower fender splash shield at the rocker panel.
