Knee Diverter: Service and Repair



Knee Bolster Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the IP insulator. Refer to one of the following procedures:

* Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right (Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right)
* Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (Service and Repair)





2. Remove the bolts/screws from the bottom of the knee bolster.
3. Pull on the knee bolster in order to release the upper clips.



Installation Procedure





1. Perform the following steps in order to install the knee bolster to the instrument panel:

1. Align the clips with the slots in the instrument panel.
2. Push in, in order to secure the knee bolster.


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts/screws to the bottom of the knee bolster.

Tighten the bolts/screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

3. Install the IP insulator. Refer to one of the following procedures:

* Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right (Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right)
* Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (Service and Repair)
