Wiper Motor Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the three screws from the washer solvent container.
2. Rotate the washer solvent container toward the front of the vehicle to position it out of the way.




3. Remove the crank arm from the wiper motor.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor.
5. Remove the three screws and the wiper motor from the wiper drive system module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the wiper motor on the wiper drive system module with three screws.

Tighten
Tighten the three screws to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

2. Connect the electrical connector to the wiper motor.
3. Install the crank arm on the wiper motor.




4. Rotate the washer solvent container into the installation position.
5. Install the three screws.

Tighten
Tighten the three screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

6. Operate the wipers and check for proper operation.
