Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

Engine Oil Pressure Sensor or Switch Replacement (Gasoline)

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the wheel housing panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement Service and Repair.
3. Disconnect the harness connector.




4. Remove the oil pressure switch (1).

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the oil pressure switch (1).

Tighten the oil pressure sender to 13 Nm (115 lb in).

2. Connect the harness connector.
3. Install the wheel housing panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement Service and Repair.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Check the engine oil level.
6. Refill the engine oil as necessary.
