Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)
Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the speed sensor.
3. Remove the vehicle speed sensor bolt.
Remove the speed sensor from the transmission.

Installation Procedure





1. Lightly lubricate the new O-ring with transmission fluid.
2. Install the speed sensor to the transmission.
3. Install the speed sensor bolt.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the VSS bolt.
^ Tighten the VSS Bolt to 10 Nm (88 inch lbs.).
5. Connect the electrical connector to the VSS.
6. Lower the vehicle.
