Heater Hoses Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
2. Remove the air inlet duct.
3. Reposition the ignition control module. Refer to Ignition Control Module Replacement in Computers and Control Systems - 2.2L.
4. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater pipes.
5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.




6. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core.
7. Remove the heater hoses from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the heater hoses to the vehicle.
2. Connect the heater hoses to the heater pipes. Ensure that the hose clamps are secured.




3. Connect the heater hoses to the heater core. Ensure the hose clamps are secured.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Reposition and install the ignition control module. Refer to Ignition Control Module Replacement in Computers and Control Systems - 2.2L.
6. Install the air inlet duct.
7. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
