Low Pressure Regulator (LPR) to Gas Mass SEN/Mixture CTRL Valve

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the four screws from the gas mass sensor (GMS) inlet elbow (8).
3. Loosen the fuel hose (7) clamps.
4. Remove the fuel hose with the clamps and the GMS inlet elbow.
5. Remove the fuel hose (7) from the GMS inlet elbow (8).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the fuel hose (7) with the clamps to the GMS inlet elbow (8).
2. Install the fuel hose/elbow assembly.
3. Connect the fuel hose to the LPR (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Using a new O-ring, connect the GMS inlet elbow (8) to the GMS (3). Lubricate the O-ring with petroleum jelly or the equivalent.

Tighten
^ Tighten the screws to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).
^ Tighten the clamps to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Connect the negative battery cable

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
