Gas Distribution Adapter (GDA) Replacement

Bi-Fuel/Alternative Fuels


REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the bolts mounting the gas distribution adapter (GDA) bracket (1) to the module bracket.
2. Loosen the GDA clamp at the throttle body.
3. Loosen the clamp at the gas mass sensor/mixture control valve (GMS/MCV) hose (2).
4. Loosen the clamp (3) at the intake duct and disconnect the duct.
5. Disconnect the PCV hose(4).
6. Remove the GDA.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the GDA and connect the hose (2) to the GMS/MCV.

Tighten
Tighten the hose clamp to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

2. Connect the PCV hose (4).
3. Connect the intake duct (3).

Tighten
Tighten the intake duct clamp to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

4. Tighten the GDA clamp at the throttle body.

Tighten
Tighten the throttle body clamp to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

5. Install the GDA bracket bolts (1).

Tighten
Tighten the GDA bracket bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
