SIR Steering Wheel Module Coil

- J41352 Modular Column Holding Fixture

1. Align the block tooth on the race and upper shaft assembly to the 12 o'clock position.





2. Turn the key to the OFF position and remove the key.





3. Install the wave washer (2).

Important A new inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil (1) will be pre-centered. Do not remove the centering tab from the new inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil (1) until the installation is complete.

4. If reusing the original inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil (1), refer to Inflatable Restraint Coil Centering-Off Vehicle (Column Shift And Floor Shift).
5. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil download to the wire restraint clip (3).





6. Align the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil (4) with the horn tower on the turn signal cancel cam assembly (1).
7. Slide the new inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil (4) onto the steering shaft assembly (2).
8. Firmly seat the retaining ring (3) into the groove on the steering shaft assembly (2).
9. Remove the centering tab from the new inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil (4).





10. Install all wire harness straps to the wire harness assembly.
11. Remove the steering column and J41352 from the vise.
